Update, October 12, 2026: CDA re-announced the hotel plot auction on October 8. It takes place on Monday, October 12 at 10:00 am at the Jinnah Convention Centre, according to Bloom Pakistan. CDA first advertised September 26 as the date. Check CDA’s official notice for the result.
CDA’s Investor Terms
- CDA approves building plans after you pay 25% of the price.
- You get a 5% rebate for full payment within 30 days, and another 5% for payment in US dollars.
- Winning bidders get a one-year payment plan. Possession follows payment of 75%, with a bank guarantee for the balance.
- Overseas investors can get tokens one day before the auction and pay through Roshan Digital Accounts or local banks.
- CDA says it will provide independent access roads and help with electricity line relocation and sewerage upgrades.
Our View: The Timeline Is Tight
A new five-star hotel takes time to design, build, and fit out. About ten months remain before the summit. A hotel bought at auction now might not open in time.
CDA also dropped its plan for a new mega convention centre in September for lack of time, according to Dawn. It will upgrade the Jinnah Convention Centre instead. Companies that expect visiting teams around the summit should reserve rooms early.
